About

Rarely updated and usually pointless. This is my blog about technology, video production, adventure, excitement and whatever else I can manage to type up the once or twice a month I actually update it. Most posts stick to whatever technology I’m using at the moment.

In the real world I’m a Denver based writer/video producer/filmmaker/gadget geek/recent Mac convert. My main work gig is producing corporate training videos, and between jobs I try to squeeze in the creative stuff. I recently finished editing my first feature length film, which you can check out in 3-minute episodes at WestAcre TV.

My top 10 most used apps are Movie Magic Screenwriter, VLC Player, iTunes, iCal, EyeTV (HD tuner and software), Handbrake, Front Row (hacked to run on the Mac Pro), Sony Vegas, Photoshop, and the Final Cut Studio bundle. Vegas is running in Windows XP via Parallels, so I guess Parallels would have to be be number 11.

Site Info:
I love tech but I hate HTML, CSS and pretty much anything related to web coding. I just suck at it. At some point I gave in to WordPress and have been swapping out templates at random ever since. This site has been around in some form or another since November 2004, originally at the domain cheezwhiz.org. The site currently lives on the WordPress servers, and the dot org domain forwards to WordPress. At some point I may move the whole thing back to dot org. It’s on my to-do list; it just never seems to happen.
